/About me

Aran Rodriguez (born in Barcelona in 1989), with a background in Philosophy (BSc, University of Barcelona) and Photography (IEFC, Barcelona), centers his work as an author in long-term documentary photography projects and visual storytelling. Focusing on the witnessing value of photography rather than its journalistic component, Aran merges within the stories, cohabiting with the protagonists and finally presenting them as visually rich, powerful and expressive narratives.

He has worked in Spain, Greece, the UK and, more extensively, in Brazil. Indeed, several of his projects where developed as a result of two years living with the communities in the north. He has collaborated with the Latin America Photojournalism Agency Agência Plano and he has published in magazines such as PZZ Brasil and LF Magazine. In 2017 he received an honorable mention in Brasilia Photo Show Festival.

Aran has exhibited his work in Spain, the UK, and Brazil.
